| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [2:240] | Waallatheena yutawaffawnaminkum wayatharoona azwajan wasiyyatanli-azwajihim mataAAan ila alhawlighayra ikhrajin fa-in kharajna fala junahaAAalaykum fee ma faAAalna fee anfusihinna min maAAroofinwaAllahu AAazeezun hakeemun |  والذين يتوفون منكم ويذرون أزواجا وصية لأزواجهم متاعا إلى الحول غير إخراج فإن خرجن فلا جناح عليكم في ما فعلن في أنفسهن من معروف والله عزيز حكيموَالَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنكُمْ وَيَذَرُونَ أَزْوَاجًا وَصِيَّةً لِّأَزْوَاجِهِم مَّتَاعًا إِلَى الْحَوْلِ غَيْرَ إِخْرَاجٍ فَإِنْ خَرَجْنَ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي مَا فَعَلْنَ فِيَ أَنفُسِهِنَّ مِن مَّعْرُوفٍ وَاللّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور تم میں سے جو لوگ فوت ہوں اور (اپنی) بیویاں چھوڑ جائیں ان پر لازم ہے کہ (مرنے سے پہلے) اپنی بیویوں کے لئے انہیں ایک سال تک کا خرچہ دینے (اور) اپنے گھروں سے نہ نکالے جانے کی وصیّت کر جائیں، پھر اگر وہ خود (اپنی مرضی سی) نکل جائیں تو دستور کے مطابق جو کچھ بھی وہ اپنے حق میں کریں تم پر اس معاملے میں کوئی گناہ نہیں، اور اﷲ بڑا غالب بڑی حکمت والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Those of you who die and leave widows should bequeath for their widows a year's maintenance and residence; but if they leave (The residence), there is no blame on you for what they do with themselves, provided it is reasonable. And Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise.
