Wadda katheerun min ahli alkitabilaw yaruddoonakum min baAAdi eemanikum kuffaran hasadanmin AAindi anfusihim min baAAdi ma tabayyana lahumu alhaqqufaoAAfoo waisfahoo hattaya/tiya Allahu bi-amrihi inna Allaha AAalakulli shay-in qadeerun ود كثير من أهل الكتاب لو يردونكم من بعد إيمانكم كفارا حسدا من عند أنفسهم من بعد ما تبين لهم الحق فاعفوا واصفحوا حتى يأتي الله بأمره إن الله على كل شيء قدير
وَدَّ كَثِيرٌ مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَوْ يَرُدُّونَكُم مِّن بَعْدِ إِيمَانِكُمْ كُفَّاراً حَسَدًا مِّنْ عِندِ أَنفُسِهِم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْحَقُّ فَاعْفُواْ وَاصْفَحُواْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ اللّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

  بہت سے اہلِ کتاب کی یہ خواہش ہے تمہارے ایمان لے آنے کے بعد پھر تمہیں کفر کی طرف لوٹا دیں، اس حسد کے باعث جو ان کے دلوں میں ہے اس کے باوجود کہ ان پر حق خوب ظاہر ہو چکا ہے، سو تم درگزر کرتے رہو اور نظرانداز کرتے رہو یہاں تک کہ اللہ اپنا حکم بھیج دے، بیشک اللہ ہر چیز پر کامل قدرت رکھتا ہے

Yousuf AliQuite a number of the People of the Book wish they could Turn you (people) back to infidelity after ye have believed, from selfish envy, after the Truth hath become Manifest unto them: But forgive and overlook, Till Allah accomplish His purpose; for Allah Hath power over all things.

Ahmed Aliاکثر اہلِ کتاب تو اپنے حسد سے حق ظاہر ہونے کے بعد بھی یہ چاہتے ہیں کہ کسی طرح سے تمہیں ایمان لانے کے بعد پھر کفر کی طرف لوٹا کر لے جائیں سو معاف کرو اور درگزر کرو جب تک کہ الله اپنا حکم بھیجے بے شک الله ہر چیز پر قادر ہے
Ahmed Raza Khanبہت کتابیوں نے چاہا کاش تمہیں ایمان کے بعد کفر کی طرف پھیردیں اپنے دلوں کی جلن سے بعد اس کے کہ حق ان پر خوب ظاہر ہوچکا ہے تو تم چھوڑو اور درگزر کرو یہاں تک کہ اللہ اپنا حکم لائے بیشک اللہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے -
Shabbir Ahmed دل و جان سے چاہتے ہیں بہت سے لوگ اہلِ کتاب میں سے کہ کاش ! واپس پھیردیں تم کو (یعنی) تمہارے ایمان لے آنے کے بعد (تمہیں) پھر کافر بنادیں، حسد کی بنا پر جو ان کے دلوں میں ہے بعد اس کے کہ کُھل کر سامنے آگیا ہے ان کے حق۔ سو تم معاف کرتے رہو اور در گزر سے کام لو، یہاں تک کہ نافذ فرمائے اللہ خود ہی اپنا فیصلہ بیشک اللہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے۔

Abul Ala Maududiاہل کتاب میں سے اکثر لوگ یہ چاہتے ہیں کہ کسی طرح تمہیں ایمان سے پھیر کر پھر کفر کی طرف پلٹا لے جائیں اگرچہ حق ان پر ظاہر ہو چکا ہے، مگر اپنے نفس کے حسد کی بنا پر تمہارے لیے ان کی یہ خواہش ہے اس کے جواب میں تم عفو و در گزر سے کام لو یہاں تک کہ اللہ خود ہی اپنا فیصلہ نافذ کر دے مطمئن رہو کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ہر چیز پر قدرت رکھتا ہے

QXP Shabbir Ahemd**Many of the People of the Book wish to make you turn back to disbelief after you have attained belief. They do this because of their personal envy even though the Truth has become manifest to them. (Ethnic and nationalistic prejudices give rise to such feelings of envy (2:111), (5:18)). Pardon them and leave them with their ways until Allah issues His Command. ((5:13), (15:85), (73:10), (74:11)). Verily, Allah has Power over all things and all events take place within the framework of His Laws.
