Waamma aljidaru fakanalighulamayni yateemayni fee almadeenati wakana tahtahukanzun lahuma wakana aboohuma salihanfaarada rabbuka an yablugha ashuddahumawayastakhrija kanzahuma rahmatan min rabbikawama faAAaltuhu AAan amree thalika ta/weelu malam tastiAA AAalayhi sabran وأما الجدار فكان لغلامين يتيمين في المدينة وكان تحته كنز لهما وكان أبوهما صالحا فأراد ربك أن يبلغا أشدهما ويستخرجا كنزهما رحمة من ربك وما فعلته عن أمري ذلك تأويل ما لم تسطع عليه صبرا
وَأَمَّا الْجِدَارُ فَكَانَ لِغُلاَمَيْنِ يَتِيمَيْنِ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ وَكَانَ تَحْتَهُ كَنْزٌ لَّهُمَا وَكَانَ أَبُوهُمَا صَالِحًا فَأَرَادَ رَبُّكَ أَنْ يَبْلُغَا أَشُدَّهُمَا وَيَسْتَخْرِجَا كَنْزَهُمَا رَحْمَةً مِّن رَّبِّكَ وَمَا فَعَلْتُهُ عَنْ أَمْرِي ذَلِكَ تَأْوِيلُ مَا لَمْ تَسْطِع عَّلَيْهِ صَبْرًا

  اور وہ جو دیوار تھی تو وہ شہر میں (رہنے والے) دو یتیم بچوں کی تھی اور اس کے نیچے ان دونوں کے لئے ایک خزانہ (مدفون) تھا اور ان کا باپ صالح (شخص) تھا، سو آپ کے رب نے ارادہ کیا کہ وہ دونوں اپنی جوانی کو پہنچ جائیں اور آپ کے رب کی رحمت سے وہ اپنا خزانہ (خود ہی) نکالیں، اور میں نے (جو کچھ بھی کیا) وہ اَز خود نہیں کیا، یہ ان (واقعات) کی حقیقت ہے جن پر آپ صبر نہ کر سکے

Yousuf Ali"As for the wall, it belonged to two youths, orphans, in the Town; there was, beneath it, a buried treasure, to which they were entitled: their father had been a righteous man: So thy Lord desired that they should attain their age of full strength and get out their treasure - a mercy (and favour) from thy Lord. I did it not of my own accord. Such is the interpretation of (those things) over which thou wast unable to hold patience."

Shabbir Ahmedاور رہ گئی وہ دیوار سو تھی وہ دو بچّوں کی جو یتیم تھے شہر میں اور تھا نیچے اس کے خزانہ اُن کا اور تھا اُن کا باپ ایک نیک آدمی۔ پس چاہا تمہارے رب نے کہ وہ جوان ہوں اور نکال لیں اپنا خزانہ۔ یہ مہربانی تھی آپ کے رب کی طرف سے اور نہیں کیا ہے میں نے یہ (جو کچھ کیا ہے) اپنے اختیار سے۔ یہ ہے حقیقت ان باتوں کی کہ نہ کرسکے آپ جن پر صبر۔

Abul Ala Maududiاور اس دیوار کا معاملہ یہ ہے کہ یہ دو یتیم لڑکوں کی ہے جو اس شہر میں رہتے ہیں اس دیوار کے نیچے اِن بچّوں کے لیے ایک خزانہ مدفون ہے اور ان کا باپ ایک نیک آدمی تھا اس لیے تمہارے رب نے چاہا کہ یہ دونوں بچّے بالغ ہوں اور اپنا خزانہ نکال لیں یہ تمہارے رب کی رحمت کی بنا پرکیا گیا ہے، میں نے کچھ اپنے اختیار سے نہیں کر دیا ہے یہ ہے حقیقت اُن باتوں کی جن پر تم صبر نہ کر سکے"
