Faintalaqa hattaitha rakiba fee alssafeenati kharaqahaqala akharaqtaha litughriqa ahlaha laqadji/ta shay-an imran فانطلقا حتى إذا ركبا في السفينة خرقها قال أخرقتها لتغرق أهلها لقد جئت شيئا إمرا
فَانطَلَقَا حَتَّى إِذَا رَكِبَا فِي السَّفِينَةِ خَرَقَهَا قَالَ أَخَرَقْتَهَا لِتُغْرِقَ أَهْلَهَا لَقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْئًا إِمْرًا

  پس دونوں چل دیئے یہاں تک کہ جب دونوں کشتی میں سوار ہوئے (تو خضر علیہ السلام نے) اس (کشتی) میں شگاف کر دیا، موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: کیا آپ نے اسے اس لئے (شگاف کر کے) پھاڑ ڈالا ہے کہ آپ کشتی والوں کو غرق کردیں، بیشک آپ نے بڑی عجیب بات کی

Yousuf AliSo they both proceeded: until, when they were in the boat, he scuttled it. Said Moses: "Hast thou scuttled it in order to drown those in it? Truly a strange thing hast thou done!"

Ahmed Aliیہاں تک کہ جب کشتی میں سوار ہوئے تو اسے پھاڑ دیا کہا کیا تو نے اس لیے پھاڑا ہے کہ کشتی کے لوگوں کو غرق کر دے البتہ تو نے خطرناک بات کی ہے
Ahmed Raza Khanاب دونوں چلے یہاں تک کہ جب کشتی میں سوار ہوئے اس بندہ نے اسے چیر ڈالا موسیٰ نے کہا کیا تم نے اسے اس لیے چیرا کہ اس کے سواروں کو ڈبا دو بیشک یہ تم نے بری بات کی،
Shabbir Ahmed پھر روانہ ہُوئے وہ دونوں، یہاں تک کہ جب وہ سوار ہُوئے ایک کشتی میں تو سوراخ کر دیا اس میں (اس بندہ نے) موسیٰ نے کہا کیا آپ نے سوراخ کیا ہے اس میں تاکہ ڈبو دیں کشتی والوں کو؟ یقیناً کی ہے آپ نے بڑی عجیب حرکت۔
Fateh Muhammad Jalandharyتو دونوں چل پڑے۔ یہاں تک کہ جب کشتی میں سوار ہوئے تو (خضر نے) کشتی کو پھاڑ ڈالا۔ (موسیٰ نے) کہا کیا آپ نے اس لئے پھاڑا ہے کہ سواروں کو غرق کردیں یہ تو آپ نے بڑی (عجیب) بات کی
Mehmood Al Hassanپھر دونوں چلے یہاں تک کہ جب چڑھے کشتی میں اس کو پھاڑ ڈالا موسٰی بولا کیا تو نے اس کو پھاڑ ڈالا کہ ڈبا دے اسکے لوگوں کو البتہ تو نے کی ایک چیز بھاری
Abul Ala Maududiاب وہ دونوں روانہ ہوئے، یہاں تک کہ جب وہ ایک کشتی میں سوار ہو گئے تو اس شخص نے کشتی میں شگاف ڈال دیا موسیٰؑ نے کہا "آپ نے اس میں شگاف ڈال دیا تاکہ سب کشتی والوں کو ڈبو دیں؟ یہ تو آپ نے ایک سخت حرکت کر ڈالی"

LiteralSo they (B) left/set out until when they (B) rode/boarded in the ship/boat, he made a hole/opening (in) it, he (Moses) said: "Did you make a hole/opening (in) it to drown/sink its people ? You had come (with) a strange/denied thing."
Yusuf AliSo they both proceeded: until, when they were in the boat, he scuttled it. Said Moses: "Hast thou scuttled it in order to drown those in it? Truly a strange thing hast thou done!"
PickthalSo they twain set out till, when they were in the ship, he made a hole therein. (Moses) said: Hast thou made a hole therein to drown the folk thereof? Thou verily hast done a dreadful thing.
Arberry So they departed; until, when they embarked upon the ship, he made a hole in it. He said, 'What, hast thou made a hole in it so as to drown its passengers? Thou hast indeed done a grievous thing.'
ShakirSo they went (their way) until when they embarked in the boat he made a hole in it. (Musa) said: Have you made a hole in it to drown its inmates? Certainly you have done a grievous thing.
SarwarThey started their journey and some time latter they embarked in a boat in which he made a hole. Moses asked him, "Did you make the hole to drown the people on board? This is certainly very strange".
H/K/SaheehSo they set out, until when they had embarked on the ship, al-Khidhr tore it open. [Moses] said, "Have you torn it open to drown its people? You have certainly done a grave thing."
MalikSo they set forth, but when they embarked in a boat to cross the river, Khizr made a hole in it. Moses cried out: "Did you make a hole in it to drown its passengers? You have done a weird thing!"[71]

Khalifa**So they went. When they boarded a ship, he bore a hole in it. He said, "Did you bore a hole in it to drown its people? You have committed something terrible."
Hilali/Khan**So they both proceeded, till, when they embarked the ship, he (Khidr) scuttled it. Moosa (Moses) said: "Have you scuttled it in order to drown its people? Verily, you have committed a thing "Imra" (a Munkar - evil, bad, dreadful thing)."
