Wa-imma tuAAridanna AAanhumuibtighaa rahmatin min rabbika tarjooha faqullahum qawlan maysooran وإما تعرضن عنهم ابتغاء رحمة من ربك ترجوها فقل لهم قولا ميسورا
وَإِمَّا تُعْرِضَنَّ عَنْهُمُ ابْتِغَاءَ رَحْمَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكَ تَرْجُوهَا فَقُل لَّهُمْ قَوْلاً مَّيْسُورًا

  اور اگر تم (اپنی تنگ دستی کے باعث) ان (مستحقین) سے گریز کرنا چاہتے ہو اپنے رب کی جانب سے رحمت (خوش حالی) کے انتظار میں جس کی تم توقع رکھتے ہو تو ان سے نرمی کی بات کہہ دیا کرو

Abul Ala Maududiاگر اُن سے (یعنی حاجت مند رشتہ داروں، مسکینوں اور مسافروں سے) تمہیں کترانا ہو، اس بنا پر کہ ابھی تم اللہ کی اُس رحمت کو جس کے تم امیدوار ہو تلاش کر رہے ہو، تو انہیں نرم جواب دے دو

Hilali/Khan**And if you (O Muhammad SAW) turn away from them (kindred, poor, wayfarer, etc. whom We have ordered you to give their rights, but if you have no money at the time they ask you for it) and you are awaiting a mercy from your Lord for which you hope, then, speak unto them a soft kind word (i.e. Allah will give me and I shall give you).
