Allatheena tatawaffahumu almala-ikatuthalimee anfusihim faalqawoo alssalamama kunna naAAmalu min soo-in bala inna AllahaAAaleemun bima kuntum taAAmaloona الذين تتوفاهم الملائكة ظالمي أنفسهم فألقوا السلم ما كنا نعمل من سوء بلى إن الله عليم بما كنتم تعملون
الَّذِينَ تَتَوَفَّاهُمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ ظَالِمِي أَنفُسِهِمْ فَأَلْقَوُاْ السَّلَمَ مَا كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ مِن سُوءٍ بَلَى إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

  جن کی روحیں فرشتے اس حال میں قبض کرتے ہیں کہ وہ اپنی جانوں پر (بدستور) ظلم کئے جا رہے ہوں، سو وہ (روزِ قیامت) اطاعت و فرمانبرداری کا اظہار کریں گے (اور کہیں گے:) ہم (دنیا میں) کوئی برائی نہیں کیا کرتے تھے، کیوں نہیں بیشک اللہ خوب جانتا ہے جو کچھ تم کیا کرتے تھے

Yousuf Ali"(Namely) those whose lives the angels take in a state of wrong-doing to their own souls." Then would they offer submission (with the pretence), "We did no evil (knowingly)." (The angels will reply), "Nay, but verily Allah knoweth all that ye did;

Ahmed Aliپھر وہ صلح کا پیغام بھیجیں گے کہ ہم تو کوئی برا کام نہ کرتے تھے کیوں نہیں بے شک الله کو تمہارے اعمال کی پوری خبر ہے
Ahmed Raza Khanوہ کہ فرشتے ان کی جان نکالتے ہیں اس حال پر کیا وہ اپنا برا کررہے تھے اب صلح ڈالیں گے کہ ہم تو کچھ برائی نہ کرتے تھے ہاں کیوں نہیں، بیشک اللہ خوب جانتا ہے جو تمہارے کوتک (برے اعمال) تھے
Shabbir Ahmed وہ (کافر) جن کی روح قبض کرتے ہیں فرشتے اس حالت میں کہ وہ ظلم کر رہے تھے اپنی جانوں پر تو فوراً وہ ہتھیار ڈال دیتے ہیں (اور کہتے ہیں) نہیں کرتے تھے ہم کوئی بُرائی۔ (فرشتے جواب دیتے ہیں) کیوں نہیں یقینا اللہ خُوب جانتا ہے اس کو جو تم کرتے رہے۔

Mehmood Al Hassanجن کی جان نکالتے ہیں فرشتے اور وہ برا کر رہے ہیں اپنے حق میں تب ظاہر کریں گے اطاعت کہ ہم تو کرتے نہ تھے کچھ برائی کیوں نہیں اللہ خوب جانتا ہے جو تم کرتے تھے
Abul Ala Maududiہاں، اُنہی کافروں کے لیے جو اپنے نفس پر ظلم کرتے ہوئے جب ملائکہ کے ہاتھوں گرفتار ہوتے ہیں تو (سرکشی چھوڑ کر) فوراً ڈگیں ڈال دیتے ہیں اور کہتے ہیں "ہم تو کوئی قصور نہیں کر رہے تھے" ملائکہ جواب دیتے ہیں "کر کیسے نہیں رہے تھے! اللہ تمہارے کرتوتوں سے خوب واقف ہے

SarwarThe unjust, who will be seized by the angels, will submit themselves, obey, and say, "We were not evil-doers." But God certainly knows what they had been doing.
H/K/SaheehThe ones whom the angels take in death [while] wronging themselves, and [who] then offer submission, [saying], "We were not doing any evil." But, yes! Indeed, Allah is Knowing of what you used to do.
Malikthose whom the angels cause to die while they were still engaged in doing injustice to their own souls. At the time of death they offer submission, saying: "We were not doing anything wrong." The angels will reply: "O Yea! How dare you deny! Certainly Allah is aware of what you were doing.[28]

Then, they will make (false) submission (saying): "We used not to do any evil." (The angels will reply): "Yes! Truly, Allah is All-Knower of what you used to do.
