Qala rabbi alssijnu ahabbuilayya mimma yadAAoonanee ilayhi wa-illa tasrifAAannee kaydahunna asbu ilayhinna waakun mina aljahileena قال رب السجن أحب إلي مما يدعونني إليه وإلا تصرف عني كيدهن أصب إليهن وأكن من الجاهلين
قَالَ رَبِّ السِّجْنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا يَدْعُونَنِي إِلَيْهِ وَإِلاَّ تَصْرِفْ عَنِّي كَيْدَهُنَّ أَصْبُ إِلَيْهِنَّ وَأَكُن مِّنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ

  (اب زنانِ مصر بھی زلیخا کی ہم نوا بن گئی تھیں) یوسف (علیہ السلام) نے (سب کی باتیں سن کر) عرض کیا: اے میرے رب! مجھے قید خانہ اس کام سے کہیں زیادہ محبوب ہے جس کی طرف یہ مجھے بلاتی ہیں اور اگر تو نے ان کے مکر کو مجھ سے نہ پھیرا تو میں ان کی (باتوں کی) طرف مائل ہو جاؤں گا اور میں نادانوں میں سے ہو جاؤں گا

Yousuf AliHe said: "O my Lord! the prison is more to my liking than that to which they invite me: Unless Thou turn away their snare from me, I should (in my youthful folly) feel inclined towards them and join the ranks of the ignorant."

Ahmed Aliیوسف نے کہا اے میرے رب میرے لیے قید حانہ بہتر ہے اس کام سے کہ جس کی طرف مجھے بلا رہی ہیں اوراگر تو مجھ سے ان کا فریب دفع نہ کرے گا تو ان کی طرف مائل ہوجاؤں گا اور جاہلوں میں سے ہو جاؤں گا
Ahmed Raza Khanیوسف نے عرض کی اے میرے رب! مجھے قید خانہ زیادہ پسند ہے اس کام سے جس کی طرف یہ مجھے بلاتی ہیں اور اگر تو مجھ سے ان کا مکر نہ پھیرے گا تو میں ان کی طرف مائل ہوں گا اور نادان بنوں گا،
Shabbir Ahmed یُسف نے کہا: اے میرے رب! قید خانہ مجھ کو زیادہ پسند ہے بہ نسبت اس کام کے کہ بلاتی ہیں یہ عورتیں مجھے جس کے لیے۔ اور اگر نہ دفع کرے گا تو مجھ سے ان کی چالیں تو دام میں پھنس جاؤں گا میں ان کے اور ہو جاؤں گا جاہلوں میں سے۔
Fateh Muhammad Jalandharyیوسف نے دعا کی کہ پروردگار جس کام کی طرف یہ مجھے بلاتی ہیں اس کی نسبت مجھے قید پسند ہے۔ اور اگر تو مجھ سے ان کے فریب کو نہ ہٹائے گا تو میں ان کی طرف مائل ہوجاؤں گا اور نادانوں میں داخل ہوجاؤں گا
Mehmood Al Hassanیوسف بولا اے رب مجھ کو قید پسند ہے اس بات سے جسکی طرف مجھ کو بلاتی ہیں اور اگر تو نہ دفع کرے گا مجھ سے ان کا فریب تو مائل ہو جاؤں گا انکی طرف اور ہو جاؤں گا بے عقل
Abul Ala Maududiیوسفؑ نے کہا "اے میرے رب، قید مجھے منظور ہے بہ نسبت اس کے کہ میں وہ کام کروں جو یہ لوگ مجھ سے چاہتے ہیں اور اگر تو نے ان کی چالوں کو مجھ سے دفع نہ کیا تو میں ان کے دام میں پھنس جاؤں گا اور جاہلوں میں شامل ہو رہوں گا
