Qalat ya waylata aaliduwaana AAajoozun wahatha baAAlee shaykhan inna hathalashay-on AAajeebun قالت يا ويلتى أألد وأنا عجوز وهذا بعلي شيخا إن هذا لشيء عجيب
قَالَتْ يَا وَيْلَتَى أَأَلِدُ وَأَنَاْ عَجُوزٌ وَهَـذَا بَعْلِي شَيْخًا إِنَّ هَـذَا لَشَيْءٌ عَجِيبٌ

  وہ کہنے لگیں: وائے حیرانی! کیا میں بچہ جنوں گی حالانکہ میں بوڑھی (ہو چکی) ہوں اور میرے یہ شوہر (بھی) بوڑھے ہیں! بیشک یہ تو بڑی عجیب چیز ہے

Ahmed Aliوہ بولی اے افسوس کیا میں بوڑھی ہو کر جنوں گی میرا خاوند بھی بوڑھا ہے یہ تو ایک عجیب بات ہے

Mehmood Al Hassanبولی اے خرابی کیا میں بچہ جنوں گی اور میں بڑھیا ہوں اور یہ خاوند میر اہے بوڑھا یہ تو ایک عجیب بات ہے
Abul Ala Maududiوہ بولی "ہائے میری کم بختی! کیا اب میرے ہاں اولاد ہوگی جبکہ میں بڑھیا پھونس ہو گئی اور یہ میرے میاں بھی بوڑھے ہو چکے؟ یہ تو بڑی عجیب بات ہے"
