| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[10:15] | Wa-itha tutla AAalayhim ayatunabayyinatin qala allatheena layarjoona liqaana i/ti biqur-anin ghayri hathaaw baddilhu qul ma yakoonu lee an obaddilahu min tilqa-inafsee in attabiAAu illa ma yooha ilayyainnee akhafu in AAasaytu rabbee AAathabayawmin AAatheemin |  وإذا تتلى عليهم آياتنا بينات قال الذين لا يرجون لقاءنا ائت بقرآن غير هذا أو بدله قل ما يكون لي أن أبدله من تلقاء نفسي إن أتبع إلا ما يوحى إلي إني أخاف إن عصيت ربي عذاب يوم عظيموَإِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ قَالَ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَرْجُونَ لِقَاءَنَا ائْتِ بِقُرْآنٍ غَيْرِ هَـذَا أَوْ بَدِّلْهُ قُلْ مَا يَكُونُ لِي أَنْ أُبَدِّلَهُ مِن تِلْقَاءِ نَفْسِي إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلاَّ مَا يُوحَى إِلَيَّ إِنِّي أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّي عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جب ان پر ہماری روشن آیتیں تلاوت کی جاتی ہیں تو وہ لوگ جو ہم سے ملاقات کی توقع نہیں رکھتے، کہتے ہیں کہ اس (قرآن) کے سوا کوئی اور قرآن لے آئیے یا اسے بدل دیجئے، (اے نبیِ مکرّم!) فرما دیں: مجھے حق نہیں کہ میں اسے اپنی طرف سے بدل دوں، میں تو فقط جو میری طرف وحی کی جاتی ہے (اس کی) پیروی کرتا ہوں، اگر میں اپنے رب کی نافرمانی کروں تو بیشک میں بڑے دن کے عذاب سے ڈرتا ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But when Our Clear Signs are rehearsed unto them, those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us, Say: "Bring us a reading other than this, or change this," Say: "It is not for me, of my own accord, to change it: I follow naught but what is revealed unto me: if I were to disobey my Lord, I should myself fear the penalty of a Great Day (to come)."

| Shabbir Ahmed | اور (اب یہ بھی) جب پڑھ کر سُنائی جاتی ہیں اِن کو ہماری آیات جو بہت واضح ہیں، تو کہتے ہیں وہ لوگ جو نہیں توقّع رکھتے ہم سے ملنے کی کہ لاؤ کوئی اور قرآن علاوہ اِس کے یا اس میں کچھ ترمیم کردو۔ کہو! نہیں ہے یہ میرا اختیار کہ میں اس میں کوئی تبدیلی کروں اپنی طرف سے نہیں پیروی کرتا میں مگر اُس کی جو وحی بھیجی جاتی ہے، میری طرف۔ بے شک میں ڈرتا ہون اگر نافرمانی کروں میں اپنے رب کی، عذاب سے ایک بڑے ہولناک دن کے۔ | ||||||

Say: "(It) is not to me that I exchange/replace it from my self/spontaneously/willingly that I follow except what is inspired/revealed to me, that I fear if I disobeyed my Lord (from) a great day's torture." | ||||||
