| 1. [71:17] | WaAllahu anbatakum mina al-ardinabatan |  والله أنبتكم من الأرض نباتاوَاللَّهُ أَنبَتَكُم مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ نَبَاتًا | |||||

| Yousuf Ali | "'And Allah has produced you from the earth growing (gradually),

| 2. [71:19] | WaAllahu jaAAala lakumu al-ardabisatan | والله جعل لكم الأرض بساطا وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ بِسَاطًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اﷲ نے تمہارے لئے زمین کو فرش بنا دیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "'And Allah has made the earth for you as a carpet (spread out),

| 3. [71:26] | Waqala noohun rabbi latathar AAala al-ardi mina alkafireenadayyaran | وقال نوح رب لا تذر على الأرض من الكافرين ديارا وَقَالَ نُوحٌ رَّبِّ لَا تَذَرْ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ دَيَّارًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور نوح (علیہ السلام) نے عرض کیا: اے میرے رب! زمین پر کافروں میں سے کوئی بسنے والا باقی نہ چھوڑ | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And Noah, said: "O my Lord! Leave not of the Unbelievers, a single one on earth!

| 4. [72:10] | Waanna la nadree asharrunoreeda biman fee al-ardi am arada bihim rabbuhumrashadan | وأنا لا ندري أشر أريد بمن في الأرض أم أراد بهم ربهم رشدا وَأَنَّا لَا نَدْرِي أَشَرٌّ أُرِيدَ بِمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ أَمْ أَرَادَ بِهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ رَشَدًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ کہ ہم نہیں جانتے کہ (ہماری بندش سے) ان لوگوں کے حق میں جو زمین میں ہیں کسی برائی کا اِرادہ کیا گیا ہے یا ان کے رب نے ان کے ساتھ بھلائی کا اِرادہ فرمایا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | 'And we understand not whether ill is intended to those on earth, or whether their Lord (really) intends to guide them to right conduct.

| 5. [72:12] | Wanna thanannaan lan nuAAjiza Allaha fee al-ardi walan nuAAjizahuharaban | وأنا ظننا أن لن نعجز الله في الأرض ولن نعجزه هربا وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّا أَن لَّن نُّعجِزَ اللَّهَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَن نُّعْجِزَهُ هَرَبًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے یقین کر لیا ہے کہ ہم اللہ کو ہرگز زمین میں (رہ کر) عاجز نہیں کر سکتے اور نہ ہی (زمین سے) بھاگ کر اسے عاجز کر سکتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | 'But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight.

| 6. [73:14] | Yawma tarjufu al-ardu waaljibaluwakanati aljibalu katheeban maheelan | يوم ترجف الأرض والجبال وكانت الجبال كثيبا مهيلا يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الْأَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ وَكَانَتِ الْجِبَالُ كَثِيبًا مَّهِيلًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جس دن زمین اورپہاڑ زور سے لرزنے لگیں گے اور پہاڑ بکھرتی ریت کے ٹیلے ہو جائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | One Day the earth and the mountains will be in violent commotion. And the mountains will be as a heap of sand poured out and flowing down.

| 7. [77:25] | Alam najAAali al-arda kifatan | ألم نجعل الأرض كفاتا أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا ہم نے زمین کو سمیٹ لینے والی نہیں بنایا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together.

| 8. [78:6] | Alam najAAali al-arda mihadan | ألم نجعل الأرض مهادا أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ مِهَادًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا ہم نے زمین کو (زندگی کے) قیام اور کسب و عمل کی جگہ نہیں بنایا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse,
| ||||||

| 9. [78:37] | ERROR | رب السماوات والأرض وما بينهما الرحمن لا يملكون منه خطابا رَّبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا الرحْمَنِ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (وہ) آسمانوں اور زمین کا اور جو کچھ ان دونوں کے درمیان ہے (سب) کا پروردگار ہے، بڑی ہی رحمت والا ہے (مگر روزِ قیامت اس کے رعب و جلال کا عالم یہ ہوگا کہ) اس سے بات کرنے کا (مخلوقات میں سے) کسی کو (بھی) یارا نہ ہوگا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between, (Allah) Most Gracious: None shall have power to argue with Him.

| 10. [79:30] | Waal-arda baAAda thalikadahaha | والأرض بعد ذلك دحاها وَالْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ دَحَاهَا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اُسی نے زمین کو اِس (ستارے: سورج کے وجود میں آجانے) کے بعد (اِس سے) الگ کر کے زور سے پھینک دیا (اور اِسے قابلِ رہائش بنانے کے لئے بچھا دیا) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And the earth, moreover, hath He extended (to a wide expanse);

| 11. [80:26] | Thumma shaqaqna al-arda shaqqan | ثم شققنا الأرض شقا ثُمَّ شَقَقْنَا الْأَرْضَ شَقًّا | |||||

| Yousuf Ali | And We split the earth in fragments,

| Yousuf Ali | And when the earth is flattened out,

| 13. [85:9] | Allathee lahu mulku alssamawatiwaal-ardi waAllahu AAala kullishay-in shaheedun | الذي له ملك السماوات والأرض والله على كل شيء شهيد الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جس کے لئے آسمانوں اور زمین کی (ساری) بادشاہت ہے، اور اللہ ہر چیز پر گواہ ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things.

| 14. [86:12] | Waal-ardi thati alssadAAi | والأرض ذات الصدع وَالْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدْعِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اس زمین کی قَسم جو پھٹ (کر ریزہ ریزہ ہو) جانے والی ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),-

| 15. [88:20] | Wa-ila al-ardi kayfa sutihat | وإلى الأرض كيف سطحت وَإِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور زمین کو (نہیں دیکھتے) کہ وہ کس طرح (گولائی کے باوجود) بچھائی گئی ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And at the Earth, how it is spread out?

| 16. [89:21] | Kalla itha dukkati al-ardudakkan dakkan | كلا إذا دكت الأرض دكا دكا كَلَّا إِذَا دُكَّتِ الْأَرْضُ دَكًّا دَكًّا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یقیناً جب زمین پاش پاش کر کے ریزہ ریزہ کر دی جائے گی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Nay! When the earth is pounded to powder,

[73:20] | Inna rabbaka yaAAlamu annaka taqoomu adnamin thuluthayi allayli wanisfahu wathuluthahu wata-ifatunmina allatheena maAAaka waAllahu yuqaddiruallayla waalnnahara AAalima an lan tuhsoohufataba AAalaykum faiqraoo ma tayassara minaalqur-ani AAalima an sayakoonu minkum marda waakharoonayadriboona fee al-ardi yabtaghoona min fadliAllahi waakharoona yuqatiloona fee sabeeliAllahi faiqraoo ma tayassara minhu waaqeemooalssalata waatoo alzzakatawaaqridoo Allaha qardan hasanan wamatuqaddimoo li-anfusikum min khayrin tajidoohu AAinda Allahihuwa khayran waaAAthama ajran waistaghfirooAllaha inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun | إن ربك يعلم أنك تقوم أدنى من ثلثي الليل ونصفه وثلثه وطائفة من الذين معك والله يقدر الليل والنهار علم أن لن تحصوه فتاب عليكم فاقرءوا ما تيسر من القرآن علم أن سيكون منكم مرضى وآخرون يضربون في الأرض يبتغون من فضل الله وآخرون يقاتلون في سبيل الله فاقرءوا ما تيسر منه وأقيموا الصلاة وآتوا الزكاة وأقرضوا الله قرضا حسنا وما تقدموا لأنفسكم من خير تجدوه عند الله هو خيرا وأعظم أجرا واستغفروا الله إن الله غفور رحيم إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ تَقُومُ أَدْنَى مِن ثُلُثَيِ اللَّيْلِ وَنِصْفَهُ وَثُلُثَهُ وَطَائِفَةٌ مِّنَ الَّذِينَ مَعَكَ وَاللَّهُ يُقَدِّرُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ عَلِمَ أَن لَّن تُحْصُوهُ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْرَؤُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ عَلِمَ أَن سَيَكُونُ مِنكُم مَّرْضَى وَآخَرُونَ يَضْرِبُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَبْتَغُونَ مِن فَضْلِ اللَّهِ وَآخَرُونَ يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَاقْرَؤُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنْهُ وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَأَقْرِضُوا اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوا لِأَنفُسِكُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍ تَجِدُوهُ عِندَ اللَّهِ هُوَ خَيْرًا وَأَعْظَمَ أَجْرًا وَاسْتَغْفِرُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بے شک آپ کا رب جانتا ہے کہ آپ (کبھی) دو تہائی شب کے قریب اور (کبھی) نصف شب اور (کبھی) ایک تہائی شب (نماز میں) قیام کرتے ہیں، اور اُن لوگوں کی ایک جماعت (بھی) جو آپ کے ساتھ ہیں (قیام میں شریک ہوتی ہے)، اور اﷲ ہی رات اور دن (کے گھٹنے اور بڑھنے) کا صحیح اندازہ رکھتا ہے، وہ جانتا ہے کہ تم ہرگز اُس کے اِحاطہ کی طاقت نہیں رکھتے، سو اُس نے تم پر (مشقت میں تخفیف کر کے) معافی دے دی، پس جتنا آسانی سے ہو سکے قرآن پڑھ لیا کرو، وہ جانتا ہے کہ تم میں سے (بعض لوگ) بیمار ہوں گے اور (بعض) دوسرے لوگ زمین میں سفر کریں گے تاکہ اﷲ کا فضل تلاش کریں اور (بعض) دیگر اﷲ کی راہ میں جنگ کریں گے، سو جتنا آسانی سے ہو سکے اُتنا (ہی) پڑھ لیا کرو، اور نماز قائم رکھو اور زکوٰۃ دیتے رہو اور اﷲ کو قرضِ حسن دیا کرو، اور جو بھلائی تم اپنے لئے آگے بھیجو گے اُسے اﷲ کے حضور بہتر اور اَجر میں بزرگ تر پا لوگے، اور اﷲ سے بخشش طلب کرتے رہو، اﷲ بہت بخشنے والا بے حد رحم فرمانے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Thy Lord doth know that thou standest forth (to prayer) nigh two-thirds of the night, or half the night, or a third of the night, and so doth a party of those with thee. But Allah doth appoint night and day in due measure He knoweth that ye are unable to keep count thereof. So He hath turned to you (in mercy): read ye, therefore, of the Qur'an as much as may be easy for you. He knoweth that there may be (some) among you in ill-health; others travelling through the land, seeking of Allah's bounty; yet others fighting in Allah's Cause, read ye, therefore, as much of the Qur'an as may be easy (for you); and establish regular Prayer and give regular Charity; and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan. And whatever good ye send forth for your souls ye shall find it in Allah's Presence,- yea, better and greater, in Reward and seek ye the Grace of Allah: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

| Yousuf Ali | By the Earth and its (wide) expanse:

| 19. [99:1] | Itha zulzilati al-ardu zilzalaha | إذا زلزلت الأرض زلزالها إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جب زمین اپنے سخت بھونچال سے بڑی شدت کے ساتھ تھرتھرائی جائے گی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion,
